RECRUITMENT OF SPECIALISTS GRADE-II (JR. SCALE) IN E.S.I. CORPORATION
Applications in the prescribed form are invited for filling up of 16* posts in
different specialties of Specialists Grade-II (Jr. Scale) in ESI Model Hospital, Gurgoan
/ NCR, Delhi. The numbers of vacancies are given below:-

Scale of Pay: Rs. 10,000-325-15,200/- plus non-practicing allowance (NPA) as admissible
to analogous posts in the Central Health Service.
The revised pay after the implementation of the orders of Govt. of India on
the recommendations of 6th pay commission as implemented in E.S.I.
Corporation shall be in Pay Band Rs.15600-39100/- and Grade Pay Rs.6600/-
plus other allowances. The Corporation has also implemented DYNAMIC
ASSURED CAREER PROGRESSION for it’s medical cadre as per Sixth Pay
Commission. Selected candidates are required to join immediately and no
extension, on whatsoever grounds, shall be granted.

Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years as on 08-06-2009. Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST
candidates up to 5 years, for OBC candidates up to 3 years and for Govt. Servants
and ESIC employees up to 5 years. Ex-Servicemen candidates are allowed age
relaxation in accordance with DOPT OM No. 36034/8/88-Estt.(SCT) dated 19-
05-1988. .
Essential Qualifications:
1. A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part-
II of Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical
Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualification included in Part-II of the
Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Sub-Section (3) of
Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
2. Post Graduate Qualification in the requisite speciality.
3. Work experience in a responsible position connected with the speciality for a period
of:
a) 3 years in case of P.G. degree holders.
b) 5 years in case of P.G. diploma holders.
4. Language test: The candidate shall have passed middle level examination in
official language of the State concerned.
NOTE I: Work experience after obtaining the P.G. degree/ diploma will be reckoned as
on 08-06-2009. Experience certificates duly signed by the Head of
Department indicating clearly the period and nature of work, should be
submitted along with the application form.
NOTE II: Qualifications with regard to experience are relaxable at the discretion of the
Appointing Authority on recommendation of the Selection Committee in case
of candidates otherwise well qualified.
NOTE III: The qualifications regarding experience in respect of Scheduled Castes and
the Scheduled Tribes candidates is relaxable based on the guidelines issued
by the Government of India from time to time.
HOW TO APPLY:
(A) Applicants for the post of Specialist Gr. II (Junior Scale) may obtain blank application
form from the office of the Senior State Medical Commissioner/ Director
(Medical) Delhi, ESI Scheme, Hospital Complex, Basaidarapur, Ring Road,
New Delhi-110015 either personally or by post on payment of Rs.200/-
(Rs.100/- for SC/ST candidates) by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of
“ESI Corporation” on the state bank of India payable at New Delhi. Fee by any
other mode of payment will not be accepted nor amount refunded. All requests for
blank application forms by post should be accompanied by a self-addressed and
stamped (affixing postal stamps worth Rs. 25/- on envelope of size 35 cm X 15cm).
Blank application forms will not be available from the Hqrs. Office of the ESI
Corporation, New Delhi.
Completed applications along with attested copies of certificates are to be sent in a
cover super scribed “Application for the post of Specialist Grade-II”, Specialty Applied
For _____________” by Registered Post/Speed Post so as to reach “The Director
(Recruitment), E.S.I. Corporation, Panchdeep Bhawan, C.I.G. Marg, New
Delhi- 110 002”.
Applications received after the due date or incomplete in any respect will not be
considered. Candidates employed in Govt./ Semi Govt. /Autonomous bodies should send
their applications through proper channel. However, they may send an advance copy of
their application before the due date. The advance copy should also be complete in all
respects, enclosing attested copies of all certificates.
The E.S.I. Corporation reserves the right not to call candidate for the interview.
Candidates are advised to go through the “INSTRUCTIONS” attached to the
prescribed application form before filling up the form. (Instruction No. 6 of the
form stands deleted).
The following testimonials etc. should be attached with the application form:-
(a) Two copies of recent passport size photographs duly attested by Group ‘A’/Group
‘B’ Gazetted Officer, with one photograph pasted on the application form.
(b) Attested copies of certificates and testimonials in proof of age/date of birth,
educational qualifications and experience etc.
(c) Attested copy of community/status certificate in prescribed form in case of
candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH category. Candidates claiming
reservation/age relaxation on the grounds of belonging to OBC should submit
the community certificate in Annexure-‘A’ prescribed vide Govt. of India, Deptt.
of Personnel & Training O.M. No. 36012/22/93/Estt. (SCT) dated 15-11-93 failing
which the benefit of reservation or age relaxation will not be given.
(d) Two self addressed envelopes of size 23 x 10 cms.
General Conditions:-
(i) Mere submission of application does not confer any right to the candidate for
being called for interview.
(ii) A candidate should submit one application only. Submission of more than one
application may lead to rejection of all applications submitted.
(iii) Application should be submitted in the prescribed form only. It should be filled
up in block/capital letters in the candidates own handwriting.
(iv) Incomplete or Unsigned applications or the applications received without the
certified copies of mark sheets /certificates of educational qualification,
examination fee, caste certificate and photographs and those received after the
last date of receipt of applications will summarily be rejected without any
communication to the candidate.
(v) The centre of Interview once opted will not be allowed to be changed.
(vi) Wrong declarations/submission of false information or any other action
contrary to law shall lead to cancellation of the candidature at any stage.
(vii) ESIC will not be responsible for postal delays.
The Interview shall be conducted at New Delhi. However ESIC reserves the
right to change the centre, if need be.
Mode of Selection: - The selection for the posts of Specialist Grade-II (Junior Scale) will
be on the basis of interview which will be conducted by the Selection Board at New Delhi.
The results of the interview will be published in the Newspapers and on the website of the
Corporation and no inquiry or correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
Note 1: Number of vacancies can vary at the time of selection.
Note 2 : The selected candidates will be kept posted in Gurgoan / NCR, Delhi up to
the promotional post carrying a pay scale of Rs. 12,000-375-16,500/- (Pre
revised) in the respective cadre, as far as possible, but they are liable to be
posted anywhere in India.
Note 3: The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date (i.e.
08-06-2009) of receipt of applications.
