Essential Qualification
For Medical
(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the first or the second schedule (other than licentiate qualification to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in part II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

Desirable

i. One year experience in techniques of Medical Genetics.
ii. One year’s house job in Paediatrics/Obstet. & Gynae./ Medicine
For Non Medical

Essential Qualification

i. Masters degree in Biological Science (Physiology/ Biochemistry/ Zoology/Veterniary Science).
ii. Three years research experience in reproductive biology or related field.
Desirable

i. Knowledge and experience in steroid bio-chemistry/human reproductive biology.
2. Assistant : One (OBC)

i. Degress of a recognized University or equivalent.
ii. 3 years’ experience in Administration in a Government Department or Institution/Organisation of repute.

Age Limit : Not exceeding 25 years

Essential Qualifications

i. Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board.
ii. English shorthand at a speed of 120 words per minute.
iii. English typewriting at a speed of 40 words per minute.

Desirable

i. Experience as a Stenographer in a Government Department or Institution/ Organisation of repute.

ii. Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.


4. Jr. Hindi Translator : One (UR)
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4200
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years

Essential Qualifications

i. Degree of a recognized University with Hindi and English as elective subjects.
ii. Two years experience in translation from English to Hindi and vice-versa.
General:

1. Age as on 1.7.2009.
2. Age Limit relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped /Candidates in Govt. service as per Central Govt. Rules.
3. The candidates appointed will be governed by new Contributory Pension Scheme effective from 01-01-2004.
4. Canvassing in any form by or on behalf of the candidates will disqualify the candidates.
5. Mere fulfilling of essential qualifications would not entail a candidate to be called for interview.
6. No correspondence will be entertained from the applicant either before or after the selection. The decision of the Institute would be final.

Note:
1. Candidates applying for the post of Technical Assistant may clearly mention the category A/B/C.
2. Suitable start will be given in the salary range on the recommendations of the Selection Committee.

Emoluments for Retired persons:
Maximum salary as per DOPT is Rs. 20,000/- per month (consolidated)(pre-revised).

Age limit:
For Sr.No.1 is 60 years.
For Sr.No.2 to 7 is 55 years
For Sr.No.8 is 40 years
(The max. age as Retirement for posts 1 to 8 is 62 years.)

Duration:
Appointments on contractual basis will be initially for 6 months, extendable further.

Date of Interview:
For posts at Sr. No. 1-3 is 25th May 2009
For posts at Sr. No. 4-6 is 26th May 2009

For post at Sr. No. 7 there will be written test followed by interview on 27th May 2009
For post at Sr.8 there will be written/skill test followed by interview on 29th May 2009.
Result will be posted in Institute’s notice board and website on the same day. Those qualifying the test will be eligible for interview..

Registration Time : 9.00 to 10.30 a.m.
Interview : 11.00 a.m.

The selected candidates will have to join within one week of time.

Place of Duty: NIHFW, New Delhi. The work will require extensive traveling to various districts of India. However, the selected person may be posted in any state as per requirement.

Note: There will be initial screening followed by interview for Sr.No.1-7 and skill test followed by interview for Sr.No.8. In case of large number of candidates, date of written / skill test may be extended.
