(i) | Educational qualification | (a) A high P.G. qualification in Medicine / Surgery or Public Health and their branches (b) Teaching and / or research experience of not less than 10 years |
(ii) | Experience | (a) 25 years in the profession (b) Extensive practical and administrative experience in the field of Medical Relief, Medical Education or Public Health Organization and adequate experience of running an important Scientific Educational Institution either as its Head or Head of Department. |
(iii) | Age limit | 60 years |
(iv) | Classification | Group ‘A’ |
(v) | Scale of pay | Rs.80,000/- fixed plus NPA (As per 6th CPC) |
(vi) | Tenure (5 years or 65 years of age which ever is early | The incumbent shall hold office for a term of five years, which can be extended by the President of NIMHANS, viz., the Hon’ble Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India with concurrence of Central Government. |
