06. The employees will be governed by the New Pension Scheme. ISRO provides benefits to its employees such as Medical facilities for self and dependants, subsidized canteen, free transport (in lieu of Transport Allowance); limited housing facility for fresh entrants (in lieu of HRA); Leave Travel Concession; Group Insurance etc.



07. The Department of Space has a periodical review system under which the accomplishment of the Technician A are assessed and those found suitable will be promoted to the higher grade as per the rules as amended from time to time.

08. Applications should be accompanied with attested true copies of certificates of qualifications/marks sheets/experience/proof of date of birth, caste, Ex-servicemen etc. A recent passport size photograph has to be pasted at the space provided in the application.

09. Candidates applying for the posts reserved for Ex-servicemen have to submit Indian Space Research Organisation copy of discharge certificate duly indicating the Ex-Servicemen status, along with application, otherwise such

applications will not be considered.

10. Candidates applying for the posts of Technician A (Reserved for PHC-Hearing Impairment or Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy) have to submit an attested copy of Disability Certificate in the prescribed format at Annexure II (Click Here To Download Format) clearly indicating the percentage of Disability, issued by Medical Board consisting of atleast 03 members out of which one shall be a specialist in the particular field for assesing disability, duly constituted by Central or a State Government. The Definition of Disabilities are as follows:

i) Hearing Impairment
 means loss of 60 decibles or more in the better year in the conversational range of frequencies.
ii) (a) Locomotor Disability means disability of the bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of the movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy.
(b) Cerebral Palsy means a group of non-progressive conditions of a person characterised by abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occuring in the pre-natal,peri-natal or infant period of development.
(c) All the cases of orthopaedically handicapped persons would be covered under the category of "locomotor disability or cerebral palsy".

Degree of disability for Reservation : Only such persons would be eligible for reservation in services/posts who suffer from not less than 40% of relevant disability.

11. Candidates applying for the posts reserved for OBC/SC/ST have to submit attested copies of caste certificates issued by the Competent Autority in the prescribed format applicable for reservation in jobs under Government of India.

In respect of OBC candidates, reservation will be available only to candidates, who do not fall in the Creamy Layer. OBC certificate must specifically include the clause regarding exclusion from Creamy Layer and should be updated/valid at the relevant point of time i.e. at the time of submission of application form for the above posts. OBC candidates must, therefore, furnish valid and updated OBC certificate which should specifically include the clause regarding "Exclusion from Creamy Layer" in order to be considered against the posts reserved for OBC. 12. Sportsmen who have participated in any of the recognised Sports/Events conducted by the Competent Sports Board/Federation at National/International/Inter University will be given special consideration as per rules, if they fullfill other conditions.

13. Candidates working in Govervment/Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Organisations should apply through proper channel. In case they anticipate any delay in forwarding their applications, they may submit advance copies before the due date.

14. Candidates applying for the posts of Fireman -A & DCO -A have to meet the following Physical fitness standards and Endurance Test Standards. Also, they are required to furnish a Certificate of Physical fitness as per the prescribed format at Annexure III (
Click Here To Download Format),issued by a Medical Officer not below the rank of Asst. Civil Surgeon of a Government Hospital, along with the application, otherwise such applications will not be considered.

Minimum Physical Standards

(i)No Deformity (inter alia, bow legs, knock knees or flat foot shall be a disqualification)
(ii) Height - 165 Cms
(iii) Weight - 50 Kgs
(iv) Chest - 81 Cms (Normal) 86 Cms (On Expansion)
(v) Distant vision : 6/6 without wearing glasses or any other aid
(vi) Near vision : Normal
(vii) Night or color blindness shall be a disqualification
(viii)Each eye must have full field of vision
(ix) Squint or any other morbid condition of the eyes, or of the eyelids or either eye liable to the risk of aggravation or recurrence, shall be deemed to be a disqualification.

Endurance Test Standards

(i) 100 meters run in 13 seconds
(ii) High Jump : 5 ft
(iii) Long Jump : 17 ft
(iv) Putting the shot of 7.27 Kg (16 lbs) : 24 ft
(v) Throwing the cricket ball : 225 ft
(vi) Rope climbing (only hands) : 14 ft
(vii) Pull-ups : 10
(viii) 1500 mtrs run in 5 minutes 15 seconds.
(Candidates have to choose and qualify any of the five events given above.)

15. Persons recruited for the post of Radigrapher 'A', Fireman 'A' and DCO 'A' are expected to attend to general duties including shift/emergency duty.

16. Candidates will have to produce proof of the details furnished in their application as and when required.

17. Stipulated experience, wherever applicable, will be reckonable only after acquiring the essential qualification.

18. Candidates applying for the post of DCO-A have to submit full details of Driving License such as Date of original issue of the license, class of Vehicle authorized to drive with their date of issue, Badge No. & Date of the license from the concerned RTA.

19. Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid to and fro Second Class Railway Fare by the shortest route or normal bus fare, on production of proof of journey such as Railway Ticket Numbers or Bus Tickets, etc. Sleeper class fare will be paid subject to production of Railway Ticket copies only.

20. Applications received against this advertisement will be short-listed based on the screening guidelines and those screened-in candidates alone be called for Written Test/Practical Test/Interview.

21. No correspondence will be entertained with the candidates not selected for Written Test/Practical Test/Interview/Appointment.
