01. Professor (Toxicology) - One
Department of Medical Elementology & Toxicology
An eminent scholar with published work of high quality actively engaged in research with ten years of experience in postgraduate teaching, and /or experience in research at the University/National level institutions, including experience of guiding research at doctoral level.
OR
An outstanding scholar with established reputation who has made significant contribution to knowledge.
OR
A Ph.D. degree with 10 years of professional experience at senior level in such areas like distance education/educational planning and management, formulation and implementation of educational development programmes, teaching and research.
02. Professor/Director, DODL- One
DIRECTORATE OF OPEN & DISTANCE LEARNING
An eminent scholar with published work of high quality actively engaged in research with ten years of experience in postgraduate teaching, and /or experience in research at the University/National level institutions, including experience of guiding research at doctoral level.
OR
An outstanding scholar with established reputation who has made significant contribution to knowledge.
OR
A Ph.D. degree with 10 years of professional experience at senior level in such areas like distance education/educational planning and management, formulation and implementation of educational development programmes, teaching and research.
Desirable: Experience of academic/administrative leadership in distance Education.
03. University Librarian- One Post
HKM MOHD. SAEED CENTRAL LIBRARY
i. Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale and consistently good academic record:
ii. At least thirteen years as a Deputy Librarian in a University Library or eighteen years’ experience as a College Librarian.
iii. Evidence of innovative library service and organization or published work.
Desirable: M. Phil/Ph. D. degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation/ archives and manuscript keeping.
04. Head, Computer Centre - One
i. Ph. D. degree in any branch of Science/Engineering/Management with first class degree at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in Computer Engineering/Computer Technology Or Ph. D. degree in Computer Science with first class MCA degree.
ii. Three years of experience of Data base management, networking & management of Computer Centre.
Note: Candidates from industry/profession with first class BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/Engineering/Technology or first class MCA degree and Professional work, which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph.D. degree and with 5 years of experience would also be eligible.
05. Security Officer - One
Watch & Ward Department
i. Bachelors’ degree in any discipline
ii. Five years experience in the relevant field
06. Field Worker - One
Family Welfare Centre, Majeedia Hospital
i. Bachelors’ degree in any discipline
ii. One year experience in the relevant field
GENERAL INFORMATION
1. The university reserves the right not to fill-up the vacancies if the circumstances so warrant and to call only short-listed candidates for test/ interview.
2. The university reserves the right to consider name of suitable candidates who may not have applied and also to relax the qualification and experience for deserving candidates, as approved by the Selection Committee.
3. Candidates called for interview will have to come to the place of interview at their own expenses and bring with them their original research papers, degrees and certificate etc. for verification.
4. Applications complete in all respects should reach to the Office of the Registrar, Establishment Section, Jamia Hamdard, Hamdard Nagar, New Delhi – 110 062 latest by January 22, 2009 (Friday) alongwith the following:
· Bio-data (highlighting personal details, academic records, teaching and research experience).
· Attested copies of certificates & testimonials in support of qualification and experience.
· Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- for the post of Professor/Director and University Librarian, Rs. 300/- for the post of Head, Computer Centre and Rs. 200/- for rest of the posts in favour of Registrar, Jamia Hamdard payable at New Delhi.
